Yummy Yum Yum

Jeff's trifle was delicious and beautiful. He did a great job! You all would be so proud.

We had a nice time. We hosted Thanksgiving at our house. I made the turkey and all the fixings. I had a great time visiting with Jeff's family. Meg is in Las Vegas with her boyfriend so that took care of my part of the family. We ate, talked, watched DVD's and had dessert.

I hope everyone had a great holiday and a nice day off. I'ts back to work for me Friday. If you were able to get today off, lucky! If not, well, we'll have our special place in Heaven.

Trifle

Jeff is going to make a pumpkin trifle for Thanksgiving. I'm so proud of my trifle making honey bunny. I finally found a trifle dish after a whole weekend of searching the tri- county area. It seems everyone is making them this year. If I spelled trifle wrong. I apologize. I've been given two different spellings, one was correct on a trifle website, one was correct by spellcheck.

I got my cold back. I had a nasty one, gave it to Jeff, went on vacation, returned, Jeff went to work and caught it again, giving it back to me. It's not as bad as the one from a few weeks ago, it's not doctor worthy. I am feeling poopy and my nose blowing and snorting is so very sexy.

If I don't blog before Thursday, I hope all of you have a happy Thanksgiving!

Norah Jones and a Hurricane Victim

Jeff and I saw Norah Jones Saturday night. She was GREAT live. We had a wonderful time. I also learned that she is a big fan of King Of The Hill.

I was in line at the grocery store Sunday for my Thanksgiving goodies when I overheard two men having a conversation about the recent hurricanes. From what I got out of the conversation, the one guy was visiting from Brooksville (which I believe is near Tampa) and was complaining about how he had to spend some $300.00 on chlorine for his pool because of all the rain. Another guy in line next to him lost it. He went off on chlorine dude on how he has no idea what life has been like in Central Florida. People are homeless, some went weeks without power or water or phone, gas stations had no gas, grocery stores had no food and people are paying thousands of dollars to repair their homes. Granted, the area I live in is 90% fixed with the exception of a few trees down, but the UCF area is fu**ed. I was down in that area last week for a management class and all the houses are tarped, trees through some of the roofs, etc. Unless your house is gone or your paying thousands for repairs and are fighting your insurance company, live in the now!

Other than that, Norah Jones was great and I'm getting ready for Thanksgiving. Yeah!

HOME

Did you know that Manhattan is twelve miles long and has 119 Starbucks? It was very exciting to be in the heart of the election coverage. It got to see my dream man, Tim Russert in action. It was very sad when Kerry lost Florida and then the election. Worse for the Bush supporters who were heckled out of the crowd. Ha Ha! Jeff and I had a great time, but we're happy to be home in the burbs with our boys.

Back to work tomorrow. Wahh. I'm worried about the next four years. I disagree with everything on Bush's plan for the future. He's a turd. I'm worried about my rights as a woman and gay rights. I'm not going to let this Texas moron decide what I can do with my body and what my friends can do with their lives. Can you believe those amendments in Florida passed? There are some pretty fu**ing stupid people with their heads buried in the sand here. I fire off about one email a week to a government official, I guess I'll have to do more.

At least he can't run again.
