George Ate Soap

Yes, George ate soap.

Jeff called me this morning, already late for a meeting in a panic because George ate a bar of soap. I had no idea what to do since I never had a pet eat soap. I told him to drop him off at my office and I'll run him over to the vet.

Once George arrived I called my vet. They said to defiantly bring him down because he could have tons of vomit or diarrhea on the way. So off we went.

Once I arrived I was greeted with the whole staff ready to burst in to laughter. You see, every month George does something stupid that warrants a vet trip. Rolling in grass and breaking out in blistery hives (he's allergic), ear infections, bee stings, eating food that upsets his stomach, etc... I swear, we love our babies more than anything, but just like kids, once you turn your back they're in to something.

I thought we had dodged a bullet this month because Larry had to go in once we got back from NC. When we got home we noticed him limping and not wanting to put any weight on his front paw. The diagnosis was a sprain, he must have landed wrong from a high leap while we were gone. Nice going Larry.

So I had to rush through a last minute loan funding (cramming about 3 hours of work in to about 45 very intense minutes) to pick up my dog who ate soap, so I could get him home so I could then dive across town for a wedding. Fun day.

I don't think George will eat soap again, or we'll have to child proof our shower.
